Megan Fitzroy

Megan Fitzroy graduated from the University of Massachusetts in 2003. Graduating in the top of her class with a degree in Interior Design/Architectural Studies, her background includes considerable experience in the mediums of drawing, calligraphy, painting, watercolors and charcoal.


It was with these creative skills that she discovered her true passion when she decided to take a part-time job in the pastry kitchen at Grant’s Restaurant in West Hartford Connecticut. 


Four years, and several overtime hours later, Megan Fitzroy has become an integral part of the pastry team at Grant’s, where she has helped in garnering the highly esteemed award of Connecticut’s Best Restaurant for Desserts, a distinction the restaurant has received for the past five years.


Due to the constant demand for her talents she recently launched her freelance business, Fitzroy Specialty Cakes. Her creations are anything but conventional, always exceptionally executed, and continually highlight her unique vision and imaginative flare.
